Parasite of higher plants, causing leaf spot.
Common outdoors in agricultural areas, especially during harvest.
One report of human infection in Indonesia, 1957.
Does not grow on laboratory media since it is not wholly saprophytic. Commonly found as parasites on higher plants.
Distinctive, not easily confused with other spore types.
